Mrs Kristy Kendall, Principal

Mrs Kristy Kendall became the 16th Principal of Toorak College at the beginning of 2016. She graduated from Monash University with a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) and a Masters in Education, later publishing many theoretical works in VCE Psychology. She is a Harvard Principal's program graduate, a keynote speaker at the Global Forum for Girls’ Education, a Master Teacher and Advisory Board Member at Edrolo and Co-Founder and Chief Education Officer at CS in Schools. Besides her passion for leadership and teaching, she is a keen supporter of the Arts and a champion aerobics coach. As Principal of Toorak College, she encourages all students to find their passion, identify their strengths and to make the most of their Toorak College experience.

Mrs Fiona Wines

Mrs Fiona Wines, Head of Senior School, Deputy Principal

Mrs Fiona Wines has been an integral part of Toorak College for over 30 years. She graduated from Deakin University with a Bachelor of Education wanting to make a difference in a young person’s life and that she has, inspiring and supporting many Toorak girls graduate as confident young women ready to make their own impact on the world. Fiona has lived locally for over 25 years and enjoys the Mornington Peninsula lifestyle with her husband and two children.

Miss Melissa Schoorman

Miss Melissa Schoorman, Head of Wardle House, Deputy Principal

Miss Melissa Schoorman graduated from The University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Education (Primary) and was awarded a scholarship to teach abroad in Canada. Her role prior to Toorak College was Senior Deputy Head of Campus and Head of Junior School at Haileybury City campus. One of her greatest achievements has been working with staff and students in remote Indigenous communities to improve outcomes in Literacy and Numeracy. Miss Schoorman’s role model is Oprah Winfrey due to her work with regards to educating girls in South Africa via the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls.

Mr Anthony Steer

Mr Anthony Steer, Director of Business

Mr Anthony Steer graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce at Deakin University prior to becoming certified as a Chartered Accountant and with the Governance Institute of Australia. He worked as a public practice accountant for eight years before making the switch to education. Mr Steer’s accomplishments at Toorak College include overseeing the improved financial performance of the school that has enabled the development of facilities such as the world-class hockey field and athletics track and the Swift Science and Technology Centre.

Mr Geoff Pattison

Mr Geoff Pattison, Director of Operations

With over 25 years in the education sector, Mr Pattison is inspired by seeing past and present students grow into innovative and accomplished young people. He graduated with a double Bachelor of Applied Science and Education at RMIT and later completed a Masters in Educational Leadership at Melbourne University. He pursued teaching in the fields of Physical Education, Outdoor Education and Science at various schools in Melbourne and overseas in London. Prior to Toorak College, Mr Pattison was Assistant Principal at Rosebud Secondary College for seven years.

Ms Emma Castles, Director of Community and Development

Emma Castles, a dynamic leader and proud Collegian, is fueled by a profound passion: empowering young women to become confident change makers with powerful voices. As the Director of Community and Development at Toorak College, Emma channels her dedication into advancing the school's mission. With over 18 years of experience in advertising, marketing, and connecting communities, Emma's expertise drives transformative initiatives. Her career highlights include co-founding a commercial fit out firm and boutique marketing agency, and collaborating with global communications giants. Holding a Bachelor of Arts with majors in Psychology and Marketing, Emma 's proudest achievements are her two young daughters.

Mrs Bianca New, Head of People, Culture and Pathways

Bianca New is passionate about innovating to drive organisational/educational change to ensure staff and students have the knowledge and skills to thrive in Industry 4.0. She holds a Masters of Education (Learning & Leadership) from University Technology Sydney, as well as tertiary qualifications in Human Resources Management, Career Counselling and Education. Drawing on her extensive experience in capability development, Bianca is driven to ensure the Toorak College employee experience is positive, rewarding and supports the delivery of outstanding student outcomes. Bianca is also strongly committed to career education and proud to lead the Student Futures and Industry Partnership Programs that are unique to Toorak.
