GirlSurf

Toorak College established the GirlSurf event in 2001, providing a unique surfing event especially for school aged girls. Eight years later, 15 school teams compete with up to 5 teams in the water for each heat. Each team member catches two waves and then bellies into the beach to tag the next member. The highest scoring 5 teams compete in the final.

All schools are invited to enter a team. Contestants receive a competition t-shirt and prizes are awarded for a variety of categories in addition to the Perpetual Shield for the winning team. Food and drink are available on the beach for staff and competition helpers.
