House activities commence in Year 3 when each child belongs to either Red, Blue or Gold House. The Junior School House system provides opportunities for student leadership and friendly competition in a range of sporting activities.
The Houses also provide a focus for social service activities throughout the year with each House hosting a fair.
Other House activities include:
- Singing
- Drama
- Variety
- Debating
House sports include: Swimming, Athletics, Cross Country, Rowing, Netball, Hockey, Volleyball, Tennis, Waterpolo, Basketball, Softball, Badminton, Table Tennis and Football.
Upon entering the Senior School, each girl is placed in one of 6 houses. They are Cerutty, Douglas, Hamilton, Mayfield, Pye and Tripp. Students who have had previous family members attend Toorak will be placed in the same House. As in the Junior School, the House system at Toorak allows for sporting and cultural activities in which students compete, striving to win the trophies on offer.
