Prep To Year 2

During these vital foundation years Toorak College views each child as capable and full of wonder.

We understand that every child is on a journey, seeking to understand the world around them. We know that children are full of curiosity and we seek to nurture their desire to know more by encouraging them to ask questions and explore their world to make new connections.

Young children learn by exploring in a hands-on way; to deepen their understanding. As teachers we see our role as not to just give answers but to embark on the same journey and provide skills and expertise in response to the needs of each child - to facilitate their ongoing learning.

Children experience the joy of learning through play, discussion, investigation and collaborative learning. Recognising that children learn in a variety of ways and are capable of expressing themselves in a rich and vibrant manner is what makes Toorak College a special place for your child to start the most important years of their education.
