Year 7 and 8 Program

Students in Year 7 and 8 enjoy a common curriculum, building on the skills developed in Junior School.

It's a time to get excited about learning and enjoy the passion and expertise that specialist teachers bring to their subjects.

The growing sense of self and the group is also important and students generally work together in common classes. Teacher teams and tutors ensure that the personal growth and wellbeing of the student is not lost in the academic curriculum.

With the growing success of multi-faculty teacher teams Toorak College delivers a student-centred learning environment built around authentic relationships. There is an increased number of multi-disciplinary 'integrated projects' that draw the threads of learning together in powerful ways.

Toorak College recognises that students enter Year 7 with a wide range of technological competencies. The notebook computer program empowers students to use technology where appropriate, inspires confidence and enables them to own their products and outcomes.
