Boarding at Toorak
Boarding has been an integral part of Toorak College since its foundation in Mount Eliza in 1928. Our boarding programs combine care and wellbeing within our Residential Learning Program and all the best life has to offer on the Mornington Peninsula.
Full Time Boarding
Your daughter will be well cared for at Toorak College. Full time boarding allows each girl to fully embrace all that Toorak College offers, including participation in our Residential Learning Program.
We offer our Boarders:
- A safe living environment with quality care, guidance and expert supervision
- Dedicated staff who look after the girls’ academic, social, emotional and recreational needs
- Professionally prepared quality meals, catering to a range of dietary requirements
- Supervised study time and access to our residential tutoring program
- Use of the School facilities, 7 days a week.
This program includes key weekends across the school year which are set aside for team building activities and visits to Victorian landmarks such as Phillip Island and Sovereign Hill. These experiences include a full range of cultural activities and guest speakers related to the development of life skills and expereinces.
Weekly boarding provides the perfect balance between home and school. Girls live in the Joan Ansett Hall Boarding House during the week where they can concentrate on their studies and then have weekends at home to enjoy family, engage in a casual job or play in local sporting competitions.
Short Stay Boarding
Your daughter is welcome to stay on a casual basis. There are times when your family may find this option helpful, for instance, if you are planning a trip and it is not the best time for your daughter to be away from school. She will be well cared for in the familiar and safe Toorak College environment. Should she stay over a weekend she’ll benefit from involvement in the Residential Learning Program.
