Human Powered Vehicle
What is Human Powered Vehicle?
A truly innovative form of learning. Human Powered Vehicle (HPV) is a sport where students work closely with their parents to create the best possible bike and training to compete against other Schools.
There is the technical side of the bike maintenance and ‘tweaking’ the engineering to make the pedal powered or Hybrid (battery and pedal power) bikes work at their optimum.
The two main events - Wonthaggi 24hr endurance event and the RACV Maryborough events - involve camping at the cycling track.
How Can Parents Help?
Parents play important role:
- Monitoring the number of laps
- Campsite management
- Assisting with bicycle repair
- Transport of the equipment to and from the event
