Supporting your child’s curiosity
Early Learning at Toorak College provides a structured, student-centred learning experience tailored to each student’s intellectual, emotional and social development in a supportive, enriching environment.
We recognise the innate curiosity and potential in every child and our child-led project work encourages each child to be strong, capable and resilient as they seek to understand the world and their place in it.
Our Early Learning Program is inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophies of respect, curiosity and community and delivered through the curriculum framework of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program (IB-PYP).
Our vibrant curriculum is informed by the latest research on early child development, encouraging children to develop early language and mathematical skills and providing opportunity to learn through creative activity, movement and dramatic play.
We believe the learning environment is central to the learning process and take great pride in delivering our Early Learning Program in a nurturing and supportive environment designed to enrich the individual learning experience of every child.
Early Learning Programs
We understand that children are active
investigators seeking ways to make meaning of their world. Our Taste of School program introduces
children to a school routine and focuses on learning through play, exploration
and social interaction. They will develop literacy and numeracy concepts and
learn how to collaborate and co-operate with others.
