In the ever-evolving landscape of workplace dynamics, fostering a culture of employee wellbeing has emerged as a critical factor for organisational success.

In a recently published survey by Gallagher 2023, 75% of employees said that wellbeing was one of their highest priorities. The study further indicated that low wellbeing, mental health, burnout and workplace stress have a significant and direct impact on an organisations bottom line.

Acknowledging the need to offer employees with a well-rounded wellbeing program, Toorak College strives to offer mental and physical health programs to provide positive working experiences for employees, resulting in high-level retention and in-turn successful student experiences.

According to Gallagher 2023, offering robust employee wellbeing benefits results in organisational success due to the increase in 2.3 times higher engagement at work, 1.7 times stronger intentions to stay, 1.4 times higher self-rated performance and 1.5 times more willingness to go above and beyond for their employer.

Cultivating a Positive Work Environment at Toorak College

Toorak College has long been committed to providing a nurturing and supportive environment for staff. Recognising the evolving needs of its diverse workforce, we are taking proactive steps towards enhancing employee well being through the introduction of Converge International's comprehensive Employee Assistance Program (EAP).

Toorak College understands that a positive work environment is conducive to creativity, collaboration, and employee satisfaction. The launch of our EAP underscores the commitment to fostering a workplace culture where every staff member feels valued and supported.

Boosting Team Morale and Engagement

Wellbeing initiatives contribute to higher levels of employee engagement and morale. When employees feel that their physical and mental health is prioritised, they are more likely to be engaged in their work, resulting in a positive impact on colleagues and students.

Our staff also enjoy annual Wellbeing Days, flexible working styles, professional growth programs, weekly pilates classes, walking groups, and a program of social events.

Nurturing Resilience in the Face of Challenges

The nature of work often presents challenges, and supporting employees in navigating these challenges is paramount. The EAP by Converge International equips Toorak College staff with the tools and resources needed to build resilience, manage stress, and maintain a healthy work-life balance.
