The Hamilton Society
The Hamilton Society
Those who intend to leave a gift in their will, otherwise known as a ‘bequest’ or 'planned gift', to Toorak College, are invited to become a member of the Hamilton Society. The Hamilton Society celebrates the generosity and foresight of our benefactors and promotes others to consider making a gift. As a special member of the Toorak College family, Hamilton Society members enjoy society luncheons featuring guest speakers, invitation to signature School events, regular communication about what their support will achieve and a lapel badge to signify their commitment to the future of the School. Hamilton Society members will be forever remembered by way of a named leaf on the ivy vine sculpture found on the walls of the School Chapel.
We invite everyone in our community to attend the launch of the Hamilton Society initiative at a special luncheon being held at 12:30pm on the 5th June 2020 in the Dining Room. This luncheon is an opportunity for those interested in the Hamilton Society to find out more information and to induct our existing planned gift benefactors into the society. Contact our Development Office on (03) 9788 7208 or email email@example.com to advise of attendance.
What Your Bequest Means to Toorak College
Our mission is to ensure that Toorak College continues to provide the finest education in an environment where students feel empowered, valued and supported. We look to our community for support in ensuring the facilities and heritage of the school are maintained to the highest standard and the scholarship program thrives. You can choose where you would like your bequest to go – we welcome conversations regarding your area of interest. Those considering a gift in support of a student who otherwise would not have the means to attend Toorak College can donate towards the Hamilton Society scholarship fund – an accumulative fund set up specifically to provide the opportunity of a Toorak College education from Year 7 through to Year 12.
We take the utmost care to ensure all bequests are managed and distributed as per the wishes of each individual donor.
Leaving a Bequest in Your WIll
Leaving a bequest of any size in your Will is one way to make a gift you may not be able to make during your lifetime; it is a simple process and ensures a lasting and tangible benefit for future generations of students.
To make a gift in your Will as a bequest, you should consult your solicitor to have a Will prepared. If you already have a Will in place and wish to include Toorak College as a beneficiary, you simply need to add a codicil to the existing document.
- Bequests to Toorak College can take the form of:
- A percentage of your estate
- The residue of your estate
- A specific amount
- Property, shares or articles of value
You are invited to contact the Toorak College Development Manager to arrange a confidential consultation, or to advise the College of your intention to make a gift to the school in your Will. Telephone (03) 97887208 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
